Socks Yarn

Depending on customers’ needs, socks are an economical clothing item that falls under various categories. Socks are manufactured, priced, and packaged to suit almost everyone. Customers can specify requirements such as size, weight, color, and yarn quality. Men’s, women’s, children’s, and toddler sizes are available. 

（一）What are the common types of socks

01-Daily wear socks

These socks are typically used in everyday life to provide basic comfort and protection. They may be made of cotton, blends or synthetic fibers (polyester) and are suitable for all kinds of weather and activities.

02-Sports sock

Designed for use in sports and physical activities, these socks typically feature moisture wicking, support and cushioning. Athletic socks are often made with special designs and materials to provide additional support and comfort, such as foot flexion during exercise and impact absorption during movement.

03-Casual socks

Casual socks are usually more fashionable than everyday wear socks and can be worn with casual or semi-formal outfits. They may feature more patterns, colors and design elements to add personality and style.

04-Dress Socks

Unlike regular socks, they cover the entire leg, including the foot and waist, and sometimes the hips and above the waist. One-piece socks are characterized by the fact that there is no separation between the foot and the body of the sock, but rather they are joined together. They are usually made of an elastic material, such as nylon, silk, or a blended material, and have the properties of moisture wicking and a comfortable fit.

（一）What materials are used for socks

01- Combed Cotton Yarn

Cotton yarn is comfortable and soft, absorbing moisture from the foot with good color retention and stretch.  It is the most common fiber used in socks.

02-Recycled Cotton Yarn

The fiber of recycled cotton is extremely soft and has the characteristics of skin-friendly comfort, which can provide users with a good wearing experience.

03-High Stretch Yarn

The high elasticity of polyester high stretch yarn allows it to adapt to various shapes and sizes during weaving, and maintains the shape and fluffiness of the knitting product, making it widely used in stretch product.

04-Dope Dyed Nylon Yarn

Nylon yarn is the first and oldest synthetic fiber, known for its exceptional strength, colorfastness, abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, softness, elasticity, and ease of washing. It is often blended with other fibers to provide added stretch and improve durability.

05-Spun Polyester Yarn

Spun polyester yarn is also long-lasting, versatile, and highly durable. This affordable fiber has a smooth and soft texture resembling that of cotton, a natural fiber. Moreover, it is resistant to wrinkling and shrinking.

06-Rubber covered Yarn

The elasticity and resilience of rubber covered yarn mainly depend on the characteristics of the fiber and rubber used. This material’s elasticity allows it to quickly return to its original state when subjected to external forces, very suitable for socks cuff.

07-Air Covered yarn

 It uses polyester and nylon fibers as its main components, and utilizes air-coating technology to simultaneously stretch them with spandex.  It has a soft and smooth texture, giving a comfortable touch, suitable for making intimate socks and underwear that require a comfortable feeling.
